Doing my part to make the world a better place—whether it be by a total epiphany or a simple smile—I've found a hobby in leaving simple Post-it notes. On these Post-its are written words of kindess, love, and encouragement, in hopes that it may bring a little light to whoever may find it. Since this objective took flight, I've additionally enjoyed simply sharing daily occurances that make life beautiful. Do take what you can from my silly, messy, and scatterbrained story. If nothing else, may it encourage you to embrace your own.

Beach Bummin'

Today's "Post-it" is a little bit different... But I'm super excited about it. :-)

Today, a few friends (Five, to be precise) decided to head on down to the river and swim. Besides being a beautiful afternoon, swimming is about all I can do athletically right now, due to a back injury, so the whole idea was perf!

Anyway, we arrived and after sufficiently whining about the water being cold (Which it was! With the sun beginning to dwindle and a slight breeze, mind you...), us girls decided to slowly wade into the water. Eventually, the boys—with their short level of patience—began splashing, so we decided to wait it out on the sand until they got done with their horse-play.

It was in this moment that I had an idea! Yes, an idea. I began picking up old sticks and smoothing out a nice place in the sand.

"Meagan, what are you doing?"

I must've been asked that about a thousand times. "Making an art project!" I responded every time.

They actually thought it was neat when I was finished... But they weren't nearly has proud of it as I.

Kinda cool, huh? I knew I hadn't left a note for a little while... Okay, a LONG while, but just decided to use what I had on hand—a whole lotta dirt and some sticks!

Even with the wind, it stayed intact the entire time we were swimming, so I'm hoping (With the cooperation of the weather, of course) that other people will get to see it.

It's suppose to be even hotter tomorrow! If you're looking for a place to swim, I just might be able to hook you up... ;-)

That was cheesy. Oh well... That's what happens when you blog at 10:20 at night. I think I'm going to peace out. After I'm done with that (Baha!) I think I'll do my back stretches (Yes, I have to do them... Twice a day, baby! Joy.) and maybe curl up with a book! Or a movie. Or just sleep... Hmmm

Have a great night!

Meagan

  1. I LOVE this "sticky"! If I came across this message in the sand, my entire day--week--would be made. You're so stinkin' creative. I think this picture should be sent to Operation Beautiful (or made into a card).

    ;-)
