Doing my part to make the world a better place—whether it be by a total epiphany or a simple smile—I've found a hobby in leaving simple Post-it notes. On these Post-its are written words of kindess, love, and encouragement, in hopes that it may bring a little light to whoever may find it. Since this objective took flight, I've additionally enjoyed simply sharing daily occurances that make life beautiful. Do take what you can from my silly, messy, and scatterbrained story. If nothing else, may it encourage you to embrace your own.

And the journey begins...

ef·fect [ih-fekt] –noun
meaning or sense; purpose or intention;
accomplishment; result; outcome

Dear Reader,

I think that's just me right now! Bahaha. Maybe I should have addressed it to myself for the time being... But if you're out there somewhere and happened to have stumbled across this premature blog, welcome!

Blogging is new on this end. I've been a journaler, but never given much thought to sharing my thoughts—especially with the world-wide web! I am here now, though, and I suppose that's all that matters.

I won't claim to lead the most entertaining life, but do take what you can from my quirky, sometimes humorous, and always cheesy adventure. You may find I have little to share personally, but I suppose that's why this blog isn't about me...

Giving props to a fellow blog, Operation Beautiful (a MUST-see, by the way!), I've adopted a new challenge. Until further notice, I am leaving Post-it notes in my small town everyday. What's on my Post-it note, you might ask? Well, not mischievous forms of cheating or girly gossip... But love. Hope. Encouragement. Motivation. Through short phrases, words, and quotes, I will be dropping positive notes in random locations, in hopes that they land in the hands of those who need them. It sounded small to me, too, at first. But have you seen iPods these days? Or cell phones? Remarkable things can come is ironically small packages.

What's in it for me? Nothing, yet. Maybe not ever. This movement is simply a way to lift the stressors of any normal day for, at least, the few seconds someone glances at a Post-it. I don't expect any sort of feedback and actually prefer to stay as anonymous as possible. I can tell you, however, that I am entertaining the idea that these small acts of kindess could start a chain reaction. Maybe those who receive my unexpected, mysterious gift will be moved to pass it on—and that is enough for me.

As this first post entitles, here starts my journey. I have no time limits, expectations, or general checking points. I may find myself to be the only person that ever scans these words. But I've come to the conclusion that this blog will be used soley to record my growth through this project and maybe, just maybe, become a ripple effect of love.

May that person in need find their sticky note at the perfect time. One a day, everyday.

Good night!
