Doing my part to make the world a better place—whether it be by a total epiphany or a simple smile—I've found a hobby in leaving simple Post-it notes. On these Post-its are written words of kindess, love, and encouragement, in hopes that it may bring a little light to whoever may find it. Since this objective took flight, I've additionally enjoyed simply sharing daily occurances that make life beautiful. Do take what you can from my silly, messy, and scatterbrained story. If nothing else, may it encourage you to embrace your own.

Even when it doesn't shine...

Hi there,

Today's weather here in Wisconsin was AMAZING. It felt so good to go outside during class periods, drive with the windows all down, and need to put my hair up for the sake of being comfortable. Needless to say, in accordance with today's Post-it, the beautiful sunshine also served as a realization on my part...

Tuesday's Post-it read something I think I know all too well... Firsthand. It said, "There is beauty in imperfection."

In a world that rewards success, winning, and perfection in general, it's beyond easy to get left behind. Consider a C+ instead of an A+? Not good enough. Be a (healthy) size 7 jeans instead of a double 0? Not small enough. Get second in your race instead of 1st? Not fast enough. Wear the wrong color with your skin complexion? Might as well find new friends.

However, more often than not, you won't always be first, the best, or the smartest. So what? You are beautiful just the way you are. And so am I. It even feels funny to type! I'm beautiful... Just... The way I am? Whaaat? But it's true.

So regardless if everyday is as lovely as today, I'm going to try to remember that beauty can be found in the clouds, the rain, and even the storms... Who knows—I could stumble upon a rainbow.

Good night to you!

Meagan
