Doing my part to make the world a better place—whether it be by a total epiphany or a simple smile—I've found a hobby in leaving simple Post-it notes. On these Post-its are written words of kindess, love, and encouragement, in hopes that it may bring a little light to whoever may find it. Since this objective took flight, I've additionally enjoyed simply sharing daily occurances that make life beautiful. Do take what you can from my silly, messy, and scatterbrained story. If nothing else, may it encourage you to embrace your own.

Day 2

Happy Tuesday!

I can't promise a post everyday, but I was quite eager to come home and drop a few lines. I'm liking this blogging thing... Which may put me on the verge of schizophreic for the time being—but oh well!

So far, I've placed two Post-it notes.

The first encouragement is almost a complete blur. I scribbled the words "You are beautiful (just the way you are!)" on a yellow Post-it, before putting it in the girl's bathroom. I literally put it there at approximately 2:15—and got wind of it by the end of the day. Crazy how quick news travels! Anyhoo, at the end of the day (no pun intended) I learned that I cannot handwrite my little nuggets of love, because in a school of 500, someone is bound to trace it back. So from here on out, I'll be typing my phrases and taping them on a Post-it—any design, however, is my own artisit touch ;-)

The second leaving was not quite as eventful. A green note saying, 'Don't stop believing!' is now stuck to a printer in one of the four computer labs. I wonder who has seen it...

Okay, so two sticky notes hasn't quite changed the mindset of the entire high school... But it was enough to get a few people talking, possibly initiate a few smiles, AND gave me something to look forward to all day long. Mission: accomplished.

I'm off to flip through the newest Oprah magazine that made it's way to my door step today—looks like a good one!

Until next note,

Meagan
